Aconcagua Express, with 18 years of successful operation in the Aconcagua Provincial Park, organizes guided expeditions on the main ascent routes as well as providing logistical support to organizations and individuals from around the world for ascent or trekking.

Aconcagua Express under new managment.

As of October 2000, KL Adventure SA, www.kladventure.com a Chilean company that operates alpine & randonee skiing trips, as well as trekking and expedition programs in Argentina and Chile, became the main partner of Aconcagua Express SRL Official Service Provider in the Aconcagua Provincial Park that has been organizing expeditions for 18 years to Aconcagua and provides logistical support to expeditions from around the world.

What we do.

Aconcagua Express (AE) is an Official Service Provider company that provides logistical support to persons and expeditions going to the Aconcagua Park for the purpose of ascending, trekking, filming, or others.

Its main activity is the guiaded ascents expeditions lead by professional mountain guides on the normal route from Horcones valley, through Vacas valley accessing the Polacos Glacier and its variant known as the Traverse or Falso Polaco and the new most beautiful ascent route of Aconcagua known as Plaza Guanacos or Quebrada Vieja.

Others services.

Aconcagua Express provide transport of equipment on mules from Penitentes or Puente del Inca to the intermediate camps of all the routes such as Confluencia Inferior, Superior, Pampa Leña, and Casa Piedra as well as the Plaza de Mulas, Plaza Francia, Plaza Argentina, and Plaza Guanacos base camps.

Aconcagua Express provide food service at base camp and high altitude camps.

Aconcagua Express provides assistance in getting permits, Hotel reservations in Mendoza, Penitentes, Puente Del Inca, Santiago, and custody service for gear in Penitentes and the base camps at Plaza Argentina and Plaza de Mulas.

Aconcagua Express rents all necessary equipment for ascent: North Face VE-25 & VE-24 tents, stoves, high altitude gas, lightweight pots, Therma Rest pads.

Who work in Aconcagua Express.

The summer season staff at Aconcagua Express includes a team of 10 Muleteers, 2 Base Camp Managers (Plaza Argentina and Plaza de Mulas), Chief of Operations at Penitentes where gear dispatch is coordinated and the central office staff located in Santiago Chile. Its main assets.

AE has 62 of its own mules available with all the necessary equipment to transport gear. Among the equipment are 8 saddles for clients who require the service of climbing or coming down on mule or horseback.

AE has 2.5 hectares of land available in Puente Del Inca for the animals to rest and be cared for by the muleteers. This is where shoeing takes place and vaccinations and vitamins are given to each animal before, during, and after each summer season.

AE has a large storage room for safeguarding customer baggage and gear, as well as two vehicles for transporting cargo and one for passengers.
